Halloween in Lawley

Posted on: 28 Oct 24

It’s great to see Lawley preparing for a frightening good time this Halloween but at the same time we are urging all residents to be considerate of those who prefer not to be involved.

West Mercia Police are cracking down on anti-social behaviour and part of this is encouraging shops not to sell eggs and flour to anyone under 18 who are not accompanied by an adult. There is also a no trick or treater poster that can be downloaded below (or you can pick up a copy from us in the Lawley Community Hub, opposite Greggs in the village square).

If you have concerns while out trick or treating, whether it’s anti-social or suspicious behaviour then the police encourage this to be reported to them. Residents are also encouraged to sign up to Neighbourhood Matters, which allows communities to raise concerns directly with their local policing team about anti-social behaviour and crime in their area. The service is free and those who sign up can choose to receive news and appeals, local crime information and crime prevention advice via a number of different channels.” To sign up to Neighbourhood Matters visit www.neighbourhoodmatters.co.uk.
